a community of prayer equipping leaders worldwide
SOMA UK facilitates encounters with God around the world, which envision and empower local leaders for evangelism, and equip and encourage development of other leaders.
We do this through short term cross-cultural missions teams delivering bespoke training, and creating international learning cohorts - underpinned by our community of prayer. This enables us to give and receive from the Global Anglican Church, bringing back ‘olive branches of hope’ to the West and encouraging learning and partnership in mission from anywhere to everywhere.
Partner churches
Show your connection with the Global Church by joining our SOMA partner scheme.
Each level offers a closer connection with a global partner facilitated by SOMA and an audit of your current mission practice to enable your church to become a receiver as well as a giver in Global Mission.

Learning cohorts
New for 2025: Invest in your spiritual life and leadership with a chance to join a learning cohort on a transformative mission.
Led by inspirational UK based church leaders, these cohorts join 6 leadership intensive sessions pre-mission and 2 ‘take home sessions’ post-mission all facilitated by the cohort leader. These are backed up with SOMA video and written resources to prepare you for the team and to enable you to bring lasting transformation before, during and after the mission.
There’s never been a better time to see what God is doing around the world and bring back olive branches of hope to your situation. 2025 could be your year for a spiritual recharge.
SOMA Updates
International Team Returns From South Sudan
A team led by Richard Moy have just returned from Central and Eastern Equatoria Internal Provinces in South Sudan. The missions, sponsored by our partners at Relay Trust, have been a tremendous boost for the young leaders and clergy there, with many in Eastern Equatoria not having had the chance to access internal or external training in the past 3 years. The mission also featured team members from the newly formed SOMA Kenya. Read more in our SOMA Stories pages.
We are also delighted that SOMA NLT members are leading independent missions this autumn with Mike taking a parish team to the Masai in Kenya and another NLT member visiting ‘Country X’ to bless and encourage the church. These missions have been incredible fruitful, resulting in country X with 75 handpicked leaders being trained, including bishops and those who would replace them if they were arrested.
